Massive tar problem
Hi chaps,
I posted this question on waxon as well, but thought I'd ask everyone on here as well. I drove through a fresh puddle of tar the other day, I could not swing out for it as there was a lot of traffic, ended up all along the left hand side of my car. Its in the wheel arches, on the hub caps, on the kick plate, splattered all along the side, on the rear bumper, in the rear arch. I have not tried to remove it as I am scared of damaging the paint. Some of the guys on the waxon forrim said I must try eucalyptus oil, that might work.
I will post some pics as soon as I have time to take some with my dc.
Do you have any other remedies or advise?
Thanks,
Wouter

Re: Massive tar problem
meguiars also have a bug and tar remover. simply spray on let it do it's magic and then wipe off. No water needed but you'll need to wash the car afterwards to remove the oily residue the megs leave.

Re: Massive tar problem
Yep its a liquid that needs to be applied to the tar before you wash , it loosens and dissolves the tar make sure to rinse properly after though,
Yeah with a good coat of colli the tar should not cling on the next time
