I don't get to attend many club events, but this was awesome!
Hope it can happen in the near future again. Congrats to the organisers.

Didn't even see you there. Would have liked to show you the caddy.

To all the organizers and persons involved you guys did a sterling job. By far thee best event I've been to.
Even though don't know many people in the club I must say what an experience. And being in the pits is so crazy just adds to all the excitement.

Managed to hitch a ride in le clues car around the track. What an experience just to go around the track. got goosebumps like a Moro.

All in all must say alot of effort was made and was visible throughout all aspects.

Thanks a million! Look forward to future events! :driving:

haha believe me when say I would've battled to overtake anything on the day with my 1.6, not a lot of power for the golf's big body.

Wanted to know if all cars were timed or just a select few?

If so, is there a way we can check our times or will they be posted here

Thanks

There was no official timing on the day. Any times posted are informal times that people recorded themselves.

I did a 2:16.7 on the one session I timed. I wasn't out there to race the car tho, the SLK is having a bad time with brakes at the moment, and the stock suspension is seriously soft. But i'm not modding that car...

But yes, big ups to my fellow track races Titleists, we had loads of fun

I don't get these times - think maybe the software on my phone was inaccurate? You guys were pretty much holding me up and I only got a 2:11?

+1. Sinbad, i didn't think you were pulling 6 seconds a lap on me. Whilst we never 'raced' together, the one session you were ahead of me, and I marked how far ahead you were in the places i could see you, and the gap wasn't opening significantly. My time of 2:16.7 doesn't seem all that quick, and whilst I did let the GTi's past me, you can't tell me they were doing on average 8 seconds a lap faster.

These cellphone based timers aren't every going to be 100% accurate, GPS tracking and polling isn't all that quick, so there will always be an element of interpolation. Much like a dyno, use it a reference and benchmark for your own performance, not a comparison to other measurements and drivers.

All I know, I overtook a few cars, got overtaken a few times, but had more fun than any timing number could improve.
