Adams the "essentials kit"

Post by brads »

Guys I have been considering getting a full detail kit together. So far I have been using mainly Megs and Sonax products that I have been purchasing from Makro & Builders Wharehouse.

Anyway the stuff is getting too expensive to buy from these shops

So its time to shop elsewhere and try different brands.

On to the questions:
1- Has anyone purchased this kit from Crazydetailer and thoughts?
2-Is Adams a good brand for the money spent?
3-Does this stuff work?

I am willing to try any other brands just this kit stuck out as having everything I might need ,and I figured once certain items run out I can replace them with a different brand product or even stick with Adams . This way ill create the perfect kit for me.

Besides it seems to be good value for money

What do you need?
What do you want to do?
That kit has everything someone who is starting needs, however its all from the same brand and you may not be totally happy with some results as compared to local items

The Adams brand is huge in USA

I want everything from scratch.....

I have been using Meguirs soft wash gel to wash the car,Sonax Nano 2 polish, Megs Carnuba wax (gold) and a little bit of apc and Megs soft wash for the rims.

So basically I am tired of those products and want to try new ones as those where just some products I bought to get me through the month so I could save for some decent stuff.

But I want to do it properly with better products and also ones that dont break the bank.

Dood do you think the crazy detailer kits are better?

I could buy the wash and dry, paint renovator, high gloss and wheel and tyre kit for R949....
the Adams kit is more expensive @ R1500 however you do get more product.....

Thats true......I worked out the cost for the Adams kit and basically if you buy every item individually the price is X amount and then subtracted from the offering price i was able to determine more or less the price of the bucket as around R200.Well i can buy a 20l bucket from plastic wharehouse for around R50.

Think ill go with the kits they have .Buy one of each . :hi:
As you said the Adams kit is one Brand so if i buy the crazy detailer kits I get quite a bit of variety then i can build on from there
Thanks for the help :hi:

Get it!

From my experience - Top drawer/quality products... And the kit has everything you would need starting from the wash/dry stage all the way to Polish/LSP stage.
The Detail spray/PH Neutral wash and VRT are my firm favourites. (Bought by the gallon!)

side note: Ask them to swop out the VRT with the new Super VRT and pay the difference if you have to.

Hi Brads

I only saw this post now. Indeed the Adams kit has everything you need to get started. In fact, it covers a complete detail from start to finish. Adams quality is top notch and those who use it, swear by it. The key to this kit however is the instructions that it comes with. You can have the BEST kit, but if you don't know how to use it, it’s pointless. By including the detailing DVD as well as the laminated quick reference chart, you can be sure that you method/process is correct. This ensures that you get the BEST out of the products and the results will speak for themselves.

The essential kit has been put together ESP. for someone like you. I.e. Somebody that is starting from scratch. We've put the Crazydetailer kits together for guys who need “additions” to their kit, so it saves them from having to buy the entire Essentials kit.

On a side note: That bucket is actually worth closer to R400 ! CG Bucket & Grit guard
I know … its crazy for a bucket, BUT that bucket is REALLY solid meaning you can even stand on it without it breaking.

Pop us a mail at info@crazydetailer.co.za if you need any advice on products or even process, and we'll gladly assist.

Well spotted. Actually it does not come with the grit guard. We had stock of just the grit guards but they have since sold out. We can get the CG one for R130, and that fits the bucket perfectly.
