1.6>1.8 conversion

I currently drive a Jetta 3, 1.6i and I want to find out about doing a 1.8 conversion. Will it work if I just get a 1.8 crank and conrods, or are there more changes I'll hav to make?

and the pistons- the 1.6 pistons are flat, while the 1.8 pistons have an indentation on the top....dont know how much difference it makes but there is a difference.
