Please read the updated Meeting points here

http://www.vwclub.co.za/phpbb3/viewtopi ... 63&start=0

There will now only be one meeting point for all JHB(N)/PTA members, we are planning to drive N3 so people from the East that wants to join can arange amongst each other where to meet and I will let one of you know as we aproach so you can join the convoy (No sense in driving to Kyalami and past your house again)

The people from the West can join me in a mini convoy towards Kyalami if you are keen, would prob drive Witkoppen > Main > Kyalami Leaving from Norhtgate McDonalds at 7:00

marzbars wrote:Hey guys, as you know we kick off every year with an epic Breakfast Run, this year we plan to go even bigger with a new destination a new route and a lot more cars.
The date has been fixed but we are still deciding on a Starting point.

This is a event for the whole family and The Volkswagen Club of South Africa is known for having the biggest most epic runs of all the clubs.
We just need to discuss a few things but make a note for 5 February as this is going to be the event of the year.

Destination: V-dub day

Meeting Points :

Update Edit:

We have decided that it will be better to have one meeting point for the JHB/PTA people rather than 3, Driving together is kinda the point

So we will be meeting at Kyalami main entrance parking lot

Meeting at 7:30, leaving at 8 am

From here the convoy will meet up with the next group at

R59 Block House
On the R59 just before Henley on Klip/Meyerton
(around 8:45 -9:00) will depart from here at 9:30

For the guys from JHB south can meet us at the block house if they don't want to drive all the way to woodmead and back again and hopefully some guys from the vaal will join in.

And guys remember to bring a skottel and some chow, or a picnic basket so we can have a cracker of a get together and to enjoy the day amongst 100's of fellow dubbers.

edited by THE g-spot
This is bollocks ... :bang:

The plans were perfect as they were ... a straight line (N1 with ample lane capacity to enjoy rolling shots and a relaxed drive) with 3 strategic geographical pick up points to accomodate forr all dubbers in many directions all the way to the river ...

Now it's secondary roads with multiple robots and more to cater for in conduction ...

If it's not broken ... dont fix it ... Worthersee, H20, Wagenworks ... spot a single lane view on route to the destination, that's cause there issn't one ...

I'm not trekking to Messina only to come down again to the same point I started at. I'll catch up with the convoy at Reading interchange to the R59 ...

My first event as a normal club member again, so a little strange but lots and lots of guys asking me what was what, so had a good laugh  Really enjoyed the run, went off really well despite the initial issue with the taxi driver suicide attempt at Allendale  Seeing 60+ Dubs in a long line along the R59 was truly a sight to behold...

...Well done to the new committee  And VDub Day - Camp Fest was a cracker, but that is a story in itself...
