Re: PD130 Injectors
PD 130 injectors are the ones that are fitted 1.9 TDI sportline engines... Which one do you have?

Re: PD130 Injectors
What the hell??? So that would work out to R52000 for the set of 4. That's f@rkin expensive... At least now i know im not getting new ones... Its impossible to get R52000 out of a student budget!

Re: PD130 Injectors
PD130 injectors are around R7k - R9k a piece from what I remember, so not cheap at all Most guys looking for extra fueling on PD's go for LPG injection, while the older VE engines you could get larger nozzles and an uprated fuel pump, but not sure if this would work on the PD's...
Cheers

Im interested by the Water/Meth kit but i think i'll do it as a last mod. Right now i'll try and find out whether i can source the injectors from overseas because it seems like they are a lot cheaper there. I REALLY want to hit the 140kw mark, even if i have to spend the next ten years at it

Yep, ridiculous, but luckily most parts are interchangeable between the models As far as I know, the PD injectors are fairly similar if not exactly the same between the smaller PD engines...Sinbad wrote:Everything about the TDIs is ridiculously expensive.

Yes, they added a bit on the top of them as using the 2.6l ones would mean a displacement of 23.87l...Sinbad wrote:I hear it's running detuned caravelle pistons as wellNeuk wrote:Oops Will de a tough act to follow though, I heard they used the VR6 injectors for the Bugatti Veyron, but they kept breaking sideshafts, so went with .:R36 injectors instead...Sinbad wrote:sssh, we need to start a similar legend for PD160 injectors to what exists for VR6 injectors.

Hence there is no need to upgrade the turbo because the injectors wont be able to fuel the requested volume with upped boost and fueling.serwill wrote:I have the PD100 engine and i want to do the turbo upgrade. Re: PD130 Injectors
I am still not entirely convinced there is that much difference between the PD injectors on the smaller 4 pot engines, but I'll do some research...ruan9n wrote:Hence there is no need to upgrade the turbo because the injectors wont be able to fuel the requested volume with upped boost and fueling.serwill wrote:I have the PD100 engine and i want to do the turbo upgrade. But since the PD 100 can only handle about 150-165 hp (or so i heard), i need to change my injectors.Neuk wrote:Cool - What engine do you have? PD 100?
