Management Maps,etc.

Post by Dangerbros »

Hi Okes,

I came accross something rather interesting... for all the guys running management eg. Gotech

I've browsed a bit on the Gotech.co.za website and came accross a section that says 'Downloads and Support' whereby it seems you can download diffrent kinds of Gotech maps. Have anyone tried downloading a map from here and using it? Or how about the tuners, do you reckon they use these maps too? Does/Will it work?

Anyone...

All motors will require different maps. Even if you build a motor with exactly the same specs as one listed there, and download a map, it will require tweaking to work 100%. No 2 motors will be the same even if built by the same person, using exactly the same parts.

I know of a few guys who have downloaded maps from there and their cars are running nicely.

Ooooh so in other words, you can dowload and install the map yourself (DIY jobby) and get a mech to tune it for you?

If so,how difficult is this to install yourself?

Thanx for the reply...

No prob.

Very easy to do. Download the map, save onto laptop (in the Dealertune folder), plug Gotech into laptop, F1 to connect Gotech ECU, press F3, find map, download onto Gotech ECU

Kwl bra, thanx. Oh one last Q, I see the maps are in '.dfi' format; what format is this and will the Gotech ECU recognise this format instantly or do you need to download the compatible program?

Thanx agen, you making me a slimmetjie

The .dfi files are the standard Gotech ECU files.
The MiniX and ProX use .ecu files.
