Not yet, need to get my laptop up and going and drive with it and make a few logs to see what is happening. Everything in my car is also new so not really sure where to start. I think it might be fuel map related as it happens under the same conditions everytime. It feels like a very sudden jerk when pulling away and sometimes when I slow down and take off again it starts to jerk till I give more gas.

If you figure out the issue, please post here what it was. I was leaning towards it being spark related, since my issue only happens when the car is at operating temp for a while.

Hi guys.

I used my friend map sensor and tested and looks like the jerking stopped even after temperature increase. Issue is that my car switched off 2 times during the test t but I switch on immediately, will look into that next time.

Hey guys!

Anyone found a fix for this?

My 2001 Polo Classic 2.0 AGG (Remapped MP9) has been doing this for the past 5 years and I have never been able to find the problem. Only happens if it's really hot and I have been sitting in traffic for a while. Its like the throttle body closes for like a millisecond, you can actually feel it on the pedal. Only when the revs are under about 1200.

I have changed the coolant sensor, map sensor and throttle body (It failed during adaptation), but still the same thing. VCDS shows a "Map sensor short to ground" error even after the new one was fitted. I even ran new wires directly from the ECU to the MAP sensor. Clearing the code removes it temporarily, but it just shows up again.

Even had the problem with the 1.6 engine, so it's all pointing to the ECU at this stage.

I can't use the aircon, the extra load on the engine causes it to die. That gets real fun when you go around a corner and you suddenly loose power steering and brakes

@Charl, believe me, I spent money holding onto the belief that it was something else. It was the damn Ecu. Got a new one, plugged it in and it's been moving smooth ever since. Get a new ecu!
