The pipe that runs from the compressor mouth of the turbo to the airbox.Fitted a forge tip and dv to my 20Vt and honestly cannot feel any difference what so ever.Hasn't been on a dyno, but if the bum dyno is anything to go by,I gained 0 bhp.

Yeah i am also very sceptical about actually gaining from the TIP but it does allow you to run higher boost when you start getting to the more aggressive remaps and turbo swaps as the stock one is fairly restrictive just before it joins the turbo and the rubber part further up the pipe starts to collapse under high boost conditions and causes the turbo to cavitate.

Right now,I honestly donot think that bend on the std tip was restrictive at all, also I'll have it on the dyno on high boost and compare it at the same boost with the old tip.My gut tells me I ain't gona see much if any gain.
So far Forge Tip and DV R3300 and almost certain no bhp gained :? :(
I rather spend my money on my CTI where gains are huge.

Would be interesting.
Im just saying what i heard from Will. I wanted to run stg2 revo straigh off the bat but he reckoned it would be much wiser to run stg 1 until i had all the hardware bits, TIP being one of them.

Ive heard stories of surging stopping once a TIP is installed so it must have some effect. Doesnt always have to make more power for it to be good for the car i guess,.

i fitted a tip and dp at the same time, i notice spool up time was definetly quicker and the cab pulls nicely all they way to 6000rpm instead of running out of puff at around 4500rpm

No power gains really felt though.

ERM DP(Downpipe will do that).

Credit then goes to DP not tip.

True, i think the TIP will come into its own when used with other components, like the dp, bigger zorst etc. Put the tip in on its own i also reckon there will be no gains felt whatsoeva.

The stock tip is restrictive, as soon as you start flowing more air the stock tip is gona start bottlenecking the system.

Burner dude,I have all the mods u can think of.Tip hasn't lived up to what I expected, and my expectations were small.Maybe the tip/dv combo doesn't work well on my setup, maybe I should have just gone the GT series route like I was supposed to and get some "real" gain.

I gained 4kw with the Tip + K&N filter, done at same time so cant say which made the power, but i wouldnt call it a worthwhile mod at all. The Tuners all claim you need it for stage 2 tho on the 132.

Yes I agree same thing my side, engine works better past 5k with tip, I did mine at the same time as stg 2 revo so I just assumed it was the map as well.

Although true be told I never did the whole intake from the airbox, just the bottom metal bit at the turbo side.

Hmmm so if you lucky you'll maybe get 2-3 kw's out of it.. so 1K a kw.. sounds like a bargin to me....lol..

Zubair, appreciate your honesty on this boet.. everyone else i spoke to said the Forge TIP is the best thing since sliced bread. I'll rather get my Dad to make me one up, sure that will have a better flow rate.
