Auto glazing - Good or bad

What do u guys think of auto glazing? Is this good or bad for your car in the long run and does it harm the paint if it's metallic?

As far as i knw the auot glaze is a good thng as it rids car of old paint or calld a burnt layer....ths happens over the years and due to sun....I had a non metallic car glazed and she looks lovely...I enquired from this car bout glazing metallics and he said panelbeaters do it allthe time...

I say try it as i was told only good bout it...
