Hey Guys

I would really appreciate some pointers on
1) good VW tuners in PTA/Centurion/Midrand area
2) recommended 40mm lowering springs and strut braces, and approximate prices.

my '96 2L Cabriolet is at Dastek as I write for a Unichip - will let you know the results!

Cheers,

Thanks Mad.

Got the cabbie back from Dastek - torque up 14% to 214nm@3600, power up 9% to 83bhp@4750. (both measured on wheels). But wait - there's more. According to Dastek the car had a 1.8 comp. box in, so no wonder she wasn't running well. Isn't that what you'd expect from a (used) Volkswagen? he-he.

Cost of unichip + dyno - R1500. cost of a new 2l computer box - i don't even want to know. So as far as I'm concerned, the unichip works for me and Dastek's service was great.

in that area you have been to the best. You will not easily beat dastek with quality service on your VW.
