Rev limiter disabling - Electrical

Hi guys been off line for a, but this new forum is great
Only problem is didn't get a chance to check answers on old board about the removal of the limiter in my 1990 8v mk2 since it now has a nice new 1.9l 16v residing in its engine bay, still running pump from 8v wiring not from 16v box

Any suggestions??
