PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

Post by JohanvAardt »

can anyone PLEASE tell me whats causing this high pitched whistling sound coming from my fuel distributer???
It started after I upgraded my CTi's throttle body with a bigger Audi one, and no it's not the idling screw on the t/b thats causing the noise.
PLEASE HELP, the sounds driving me insane!

Basically feedback from the manifold through the exhaust system. In Afrikaans it would be called a "poep" noise.lol

Tell me the "poeping sound" is it like a smalish backfire/missfire effect?Sorry to hijack the post, but my car is very dead on pullaway, stalls very easily, and has a biggish throttle response delay (rather irritating).is this normal for the kjet?

Re: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

Post by Sparrowdust86 »

Hi guys, I tried to find answers on the topic here, but I am honestly clueless when it comes to vehicles. I have a 2013 Polo and makes a really annoying whisteling noise when driving over 100km's / h. I have taken it to a VW dealer but they cant find the issue either. Got tyres checked, not the problem either.
Is there anywhere I can attach a sound clip? I would really appreciate any help or guidance.

Thank you!

Perhaps it is wind noise? Check door seals. Host the noise clip and then post link? No noise when stationary and rev the engine?

Hi Howie, thank you for your reply. There is no noise when the vehicle is stationery, only on the highway, but also not all the time.
Someone at a tyre place suggested it might be inside the mirrors where some "sponge" is worn out, but i will have to tape it to test. I am just scared it is something serious such as a bearing etc., but VW advised that everything is fine. I am struggling to send a clip on the forum :(
