Gearbox Whine - 9N Polo 2008 1.6

Morning gents, first time here.

Fixing up my Polo, she's old but awesome. For years now she has had a whine that changes tone depending what gear I am in. Doesn't get better or worse, just always there. I'm pretty handy and would like to investigate and solve myself if possible.

Any ideas? Common problem?
