Golf Mk5 R32 DSG starter

Howsit guys,
I came into possession of a Golf Mk5 R32 DSG starter. I just wanted to find out if the starter is limited to working on that car or can it be used on other Mk5/Mk6 DSG models.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
