2013 Scirocco R Dsg Issues

Afternoon All,

History :2 months back car started cutting out randomly while driving. Diffrent warning lights and codes. Long story short, VW replaces ECU at major costs to my pocket. No issues with DSG prior to changing ECU.

Current: After collecting my vehicle at VW, I drive about 10km,no issues with DSG (while car cold) . After 10km or so the car jumps aways/jerk at stop street when releasing break. If I change to reverse, it does not engage and error light comes in dash indicating gearbox fault. After leaving it to cooldown everything ok again. Error code say "low oil pressure on gearbox" or something like that according to VW. Now they quote me R42k for mechatronic replacement. Doesnthis sound right?

Where are you based? Which dealership is this? I'd suggest visiting someone other than a dealer as it sounds like the oil level is low rather than a mechatronic solenoid issue
