Mk5 questions

Post by DJ7 »

So I got my hands on a set of G5 GTI front and rear seats that I want to fit in my TDI. The existing car has the heated seats so if I replace it, is it a simple plug and play for the heated seats?

Second question is the display in the cluster fades when the car is hot and I wanna replace it. Can I get any display/cluster and will that also just be plug and play? I have the small or half display in my 2.0 TDI whereas my gf has the full display in her 1.9 TDI and quite like the look of it.

Taking a flyer, the seats should work but doubtful on the MFD.

Even if the heating function doesn't work, you will still have some cool-looking seats.

'02 Polo Classic 1.6
'98 Fiesta 1.3(Ford, never again)
'90 Sentra 1.3

Thanks mate. I am totally ok with if I have to lose the heating function. They are much better looking and a bit more snug than the standard leather seats.

Pity about the MFD if it is so.
