Good luck finding a set for a decent price and/or decent condition second hand locally.
Most people that have them ask stupid prices. As in really stupid prices.

Cut your frustration time down and just import them.

I always thought you could remove the light off the mk1 bracket and fit it into the mk2 brackets. If so VW still have the citi golf ones. The inners are the same I believe.

This was my initial thought too.
Probably worth it to compare what you have on the MK2 with the Hella units at GW for compatibility.

Mk1 Hellas are the same size
Dremel off the mounting tabs from your old mk2 lamps and epoxy them onto the mk1 version
Problem solved.

have you tried Goldwagen or diesel electric who is a hella reseller

Spoke to a lady from Goldwagen - Robertsham and she said they no longer sell them. Will try Diesel - electric or otherwise import from ebay as they are cheaper. Thanks guys for an advise.

Call another branch. Got a quote for mk2 hella lights from Goldwagen in Montague gardens as well as my local vw stealership
