Hi
I have an VW Citi Golf 1.3 1991, 302k km on the clock. Recently redid the engine, replaced valves, rings, lapped . There was alot of oil pushing through the tapid cover into the carburetor.
Took the car to the mechanic got it fixed. But now the coil keeps on blowing. First thought it was the coil wire, replaced the whole wiring system, from the coil to the distributor -> distributor to the spark-plugs. Would be the third set being replaced. There is no module on the coil.
Drove about 5km then the car started missing as if the timing was out. Eventually died, felt the coil, was blazing hot, couldnt touch it.
Any advise would be appreciated.
