Howsit guys, any recommendations for an axle back system for a mk 7R?
I'd prefer not to go cat back as I dont really wanna do software in my car, just want a better exhaust note.
Had the car for about a year now, was considering the R600 intake for the better turbo and dump sound, but at that price I'm thinking I can get a decent exhaust system fitted and retain my standard tailpieces
Opinions?

You don't need software to do a Downpipe or catback.
Go get a downpipe fitted with a cat fooler. You will have a healthy increase in performance, lower EGT's and a much better sound.

I really dont wanna mess around too much with the cats, read some articles about the back pressure needed to keep the turbo from over running, I may be wrong on that thoughLe Clue wrote:You don't need software to do a Downpipe or catback.

Re: Mk 7 R Axle Back exhaust
You should definitely read different articles. There is nothing like back pressure that is required...especially on a turbo car.
The CAT's are only there for emission purposes and it kills the life of the turbo and it's a massive restriction in your exhaust system.
