Vw golf 5 key stuck - Please help!!

Hi guys,

I’m at my wits end! My girls golf 5 key is stuck in the ignition. This has happened before but it got stuck in the on position.

I was able to remove the insides following a few YouTube videos. Some small pieces of metal broke off and jammed the key. Cleaned it out and it was all good.

Problem is this time it’s stuck in the off position. I cannot turn the key enough to stick in the pin to remove it...

Who can I contact to come out and remove the whole barrel mechanism and replace it? I’m totally lost...

Chief, I had the same issue, only way is to replace the ignition barrel.
I bought a second hand one from ABC Spares for R350. Speak to Jan or Alfred.

Checkout Key Boutique in Rivonia, they will come out to you and replace it, they can also supply the barrel, but way too expensive.
