GTi 7.5 bumper fit GTi 7

Gents will this work, I prefer the rework/facelifted bumper on the 7.5.

If it does fit, what else needs to change, fogs,etc?

Actually I have no idea.... What I have heard is that even the shape of the headlights and fenders differ. And I have not seen it being done..

Actually some 7.5 do have fog lights. Checked 2 at VW Bruma. But yes many on our roads don't have.

Maybe the ones with fog lights is the recent shipments

We facelifted the 7 to 7,5r
AFAIK the gti has fogs and the R doesn’t beacause of the water coolers
The cradle and bonnets are the same

If the lights and fenders have the same dimensions then it will work, but if the shape is slightly different then no.

Read up on the Golfmk7 forum, its not a straight fit, headlight shape is different, will have to change lights and fenders too. Too much work

Fenders headlamps , headlamp modules,bonnet
The car was a front smash so we decided to face lift it
Coding and wiring was the biggest issue

Mmmm....may have slight differences, I noticed some people fitting these bumpers to the Caddy.

Not a straight fit, not by a long shot.
The 7's bumper is cut in half and the bottom half is plastic welded and blended onto the Caddy bumper top half.
Major work goes into fitting them to Caddys.

All the effort... rather just trade your car in and buy a 7.5 Golf..

It can be done by any competent panelbeater or someone who knows how to plastic weld and blend the two different bumpers together. It will not be cheap by a long shot.

But why change the bumper though if I may ask

Maybe it's a matter of taste. I've seen folks fitting what is called Golf 400 cosmetic mods on the GTI's and R's but to be honest I don't get why
