4wd caddy

Post by Fish VR6 »

Hi. Who is SA thought of building a 4wd caddy ldv? It been in my mind for a while now but unsure how to do a independent rear. I thought of using a audi A8 4.2 quattro suspension, engine and gearbox. Please i would like some tips and thoughts on this.

I also have this idea in my head, so if anyone has done or is going to do it, I would love to see it.
For me it sounds just to expansive to take on now.

Complete car for R15k

Where

Will you sell parts?

Rear you can change to a static setup using C6 A6 front struts

Then fabricate mounts for the rear subframe and you’re good to go

What year model is it

I have an 2004 A8 hence me asking as I’m looking for a few parts

I know the A8 pretty well

If you have the air suspension you can convert to static easily especially since you will be fabricating new mounts etc

Never mind I found the car you bought

Older D2 A8

Has static suspension already

Will easy enough to utilize the oem subframe and fabricate mounting points for the rear struts

It’s about the same amount of work regardless as you still custom fabricating everything

Just depends on your budget really
