Hi, I just bought 3m of racecraft exhaust wrap.
Has anyone used it or know if its any good?
I only want to wrap my downpipe as it passes very close to the steering rack rubber and want to prevent the heat from damaging the rubber.
Will this work or do I need to take more precautions? There ia about 15mm between the rubber and downpipe

Re: Racecraft exhaust wrap
Wrap the rubber side instead of the exhaust

Re: Racecraft exhaust wrap
I agree with panic on this one.
Some info to consider and maybe someone can shed some light.
I have heard someone say that wrapping your down pipe or exhaust is bad as the material keeps the moisture around the exhaust for longer and it tends to rust quicker. Now I am not sure if this is true as I have never tried it and maybe this guy put the wrap on an already very rusty down pipe or exhaust...

Re: Racecraft exhaust wrap
I have read the same thing, but luckily for me my dp is 316 s/steel so rust will not be an issue.
What I ended up doing (as 3m wrap does not go very far) I wrapped the downpipe and then used the heat reflecting material that was on the turbo delivery pipe to cover the steering rubber, so double isolated.
The wrap works good as I could touch the dp after a 10min drive.
