Jetta 5 door lock

Hi ALL.... I am a proud VW owner for 15 years, reside in the Gauteng North area and looking to find solutions to my Jetta 5 problem...
rear left passenger door is slammed shut, does not open with remote, what to do??? help needed desperately

Had the same. Let one guy play with the lock and unlock button while you are trying to open the door from the inside. Same sequens the other guy presses the unlock button. Work for me with a car I bought. Was a rep car and newer used the back doors

This is a common issue on the Mk5 platform, you will likely need to replace the door lock itself. Looking at R3k for a new lock without labour.
