Howsit Guys,
A couple of weeks back the aircon in my MK5 started blowing hot air. So we ran a scan and picked up this:
00819 - high pressure sensor (g65) open or short to ground
Ok so we know that sensor is stuffed. My question is, has anyone replaced this before? Yes there are a few DIY videos on Youtube but I Don't feel confident enough to tackle it on my own.
Has anyone replaced this sensor? Where did you get it from? Is it OE or a pirate part ?

Re: Airconditioner G65 Sensor Help
Well it simply screws into a pressure pipe, BUT the issue is that pipe is filled with aircon gas under pressure. So you have to first let the gas out through a valve and then change the sensor and then get it gassed again.
My recommendation - take it to an aircon shop and let them do it.

Right hand of the engine bay right in front near the bottom right hand water pipe. You'll see the aircon pipe clamped to the body near the charcoal canister - it down there.
