Hi All,
So I have a 2008 Polo 1.6 model. My car battery needed to be changed out recently but before I got to it the airbag light came on. I eventually got around to fitting a new battery. I assumed the airbag light would go out once the new battery was fitted but unfortunately it remained on. My bro in law recently invested in a diagnostic tool (MaxiDiag MD808 Pro) so he ran the the diagnostics on my car it brought up the error code 01044 Passive/Sporadic Control module incorrectly coded-lost23. Did not complete the entire diagnostic, stopped it around the 50% mark and he tried to erase the fault however it immediately pops up again without really erasing. Can anyone help?

So either faulty control module or incorrectly coded module.
