Re: 9N POLO roof lining removal
It's a real pain in the a$$ in my opinion..
U gotta remove:
* all the pillar panels
* sun visors (be careful when removing the plastic covers to get to the screw)
* roof handles
* interior light and motion sensor thingy (there are screws behind this holding the hood lining
* the back board support plastic (be careful not to drop the screws or u won't find them again). Iirc this has to be removed so that the pillar trim can move out the way.
Also be careful with the wiring going to the vanity lights.
And yes once its free, it comes out easily via the boot..
If ur antenna gasket looks dodgy, now is a good time to replace that aswell..
If I'm not mistaken, theres a detailed thread somewhere around here on the exact steps to remove it..
I had did mine once, personally i wouldn't want to do it again even though I prefer working on my own car, rather pay the R600 or so and get an upholstery guy to do it (probably help with removing the panels as clips can break, plastics can crack, etc and u wouldn't want a rattle can of interior trim)
If u want to diy, clean of all the old foam of the liner properly and use a spray on adhesive (I had used a can of genkem with a paint brush - not so fun to do)

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on
