Mk2 Lift pump wiring

Post by Abnormal »

I need to rewire the lift pump on a Mk2 gti.
Existing connector and wiring are brittle and broke off.

Where could I find a connector which fits on the pump?
Is there any specific type of wire which must be used?

looks like the one below.

Won't it possibly work if you just use the matching size spade plugs and cover neatly with silicone.

Not sure if silicone will hold up against the fuel, but maybe you can test it...

Silicone wont survive.

Still would need some new wire though.

fuel dissolves silicone. Do not put silicone sealer into a tank.

Sorry, my bad...

Are the wires copper or aluminium?
