proper alignment and corner weight balance
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know where about in JHB i can get my car's suspension properly aligned and corner balanced?
i'm tired of going to the normal tire shops to get the alignment set correctly and they stuff it up.
any leads will be appreciated, thanks

you can try mikeM suspension, guys are really helpful and apparently have access to corner weight scales

Minty's in Bedfordview are pretty good on alignment but not many tyre shops are able to do corner-weighting. I know NXgen has scales
It is an ingenius solution to a problem that should have never existed in the 1st place...

yes racekar but for me it must be perfect, i want to experience what a perfectly balanced car feels like with the mods i've done... will also benefit for upcoming hillclimb and track day. although its not a train smash if i dont get corner balanced as i need the alignment more..

You will never get a golf PERFECTLY corner balanced just because how they are made. Heavy engine on the right hand side plus driver.
If you are THAT particular about alignment then do it yourself. MANY race drivers / mechanics do it that way so that you can do setup and changes at the track.
ANd if that is not what you want to do go make friends with an alignment shop where you can go watch what they set it up to and you can guide them to what you want. You do KNOW what you want I assume?.

Thanks Panic.. this for my M Coupe and not my beater mk1. The guys doing alignment at the normal shops see the coilovers and bigger spec rims and tires in front and just scratch their heads n say "ya eish, this not standard we wont be able to get it hundreds... yeah its not standard but its not rocket science either.
