Velociti factory alarm

Post by vdub mk1/mk3 »

Hi Gents

i need some assistance on my alarm/central locking system in my velociti.

im not able to open both front doors of the car

the driver side door unlocks with either the key or manually pulling the pin up however the door gets stuck in the latch and doesnt open completely

the passenger front door doesnt unlock at all and not able to pull up the pin manually or by key.

ive done the norm by removing the battery terminal and putting back on but still no luck the car starts and idles

any GURUS out there?

Can you unlock and open the doors with the key lock when battery terminal is disconnected?

It sounds very likely that it can be the central locking unit, if one is fitted to your car as both front door locks will not fail at the same time.

If the door locks are jammed, open with keys and then remove the door locks and check for any broken parts in them or the linking to the central locking solenoids.
