Cruise Control - Polo 9n TDi

Post by grego »

Hi,

The cruise control on my girlfriends Polo 9N TDi (manual) does not work anymore.
When switching on cruise control via the switch on the indicator stalk, the cruise control light on the instrument cluster sometimes lights up momentarily.
Most of the time the light stays off when the switch is turned on.

I would appreciate some advise as to which sensors/switches I should check to troubleshoot this issue?
I assume there's a brake and clutch switch. Will scanning the car help identify faulty cruise control components?
Anything else i should check?

Thanks

Yeah sure, you can scan the car to see what errors pop up.

Break and clutch and iirc relies mainly on the MAF sensor
It is an ingenius solution to a problem that should have never existed in the 1st place...

scan for faults - it will be something like brake or clutch or steering angle or something similar.

Thanks for the input... I'll get the car scanned and see what comes up.
