I need to solve a problem on my 2003 Golf Chico.
The flickers only work corectly on the left bside of the vehicle.
Right side flicker very fast but no bulbs reacting.
Replaced fklicker unit with no results.
Any suggestions

Re: Golf flicker problem
From what i know is, the speed of the flicking depends on the load thats on the relay. So if there are 3 bulbs working it will flash normal (slow), if there is nothing working it will flash fast.
Check the wiring and fuses (im sure u already checked the bulbs)
If none on the rhs is working but the relay is clicking, then u have a problem on the main wire out of the relay to probably a fuse, it could also be a loose terminal on the relay plug itself.(front, rear and fender indicator lights should all be spliced together)
I dont know the circuit of a chico so i cant help identify

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on

Re: Golf flicker problem
Take out the globes on the RHS and test each one individually - you may have one that looks perfect, but does not work.
Also see if they are seating properly, IOW that each globe makes proper contact - clean out socket and also bend up (very slightly) the positive tab inside the socket.
It could be something as simple as a dirty terminal contact point. Only after doing these basic tests should you ever need to start replacing things.

Re: Golf flicker problem
Swop globes from LHS to RHS and see what happens?
