I need to replace a heater valve on a 2004 Citi Golf 1.4i. The aftermarket unit available works the opposite way the original valve does i.e. when the rotary knob is set to cold, the aftermarket valve is open (heat setting).
Any advice on how to overcome this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Go to any Goldwagen, Midas or AutoZone, tell them you need the new dash type heater valve.
It's a mirror image of the old dash type, ie word opposite way round.
