Please help a noob regarding diy central locking

Post by RJ8V »

Hi guys need some help please.

So I've bought a DIY central locking kit with remote. I am planning on installing it on my 2005 Nissan 1400 champ. I know there is a way that one can connect the hazards to the central locking so that when you lock or unlock, the hazards will blink. I don't see any indication on the manual wiring diagram.

What wire can be used on the central locking box and how to connect it to the hazards?

Any help will be appreciated

Hi,

This is just the standard central locking kit containing 4x push rods, 2x remotes etc no alarm.

The kit is a XTC CTL200
No additional wires, just the wires for the rods, battery and earth etc.

You won't get joy with that kit.

You needed an alarm and central locking kit as it will have an output for the lights that the cheaper kit doesnt.

I say just install the set you have and get done.

I run a similar set and I've been quite happy with it. I put it in about 5 years ago and has been ok other than eating batteries in the remotes.

Okay never mind.

I managed to get it sorted, hooked up the hazards and hooter to respond when locking anf unlocking via remote. Not a cheap kit as you thought...
