Greetings gents.
Have a 2001 CITI with the old dash.
Whenever water runs down the windscreen,it seems to find its way onto my foot.
I took off the splash tray thing that covers the ECU to try and track the flow to no avail.
Does anyone have any tips on how to find this "leak"
On an unrelated note,does anybody know what this box is for?
It seems that it has a mechanical arm that allows it to flap,with a pipe running on the other side

Thanks,
Andy

Re: Water drips on accelerator pedal
it's kinda unclear as the picture you took don't actually show the location IE. rain tray. But if it is in the rain tray then it's a recirc flap. IE cut air off form the outside so it just recirculates air in the cabin.
As for water - sometime you can see white residue on the metal that will show you the path it came in.

Re: Water drips on accelerator pedal
Yup it sits dead center of the car under the rain tray.
Good to know thanks.
Will pour some water in there and try to trace its path and report back

Re: Water drips on accelerator pedal
1. open bonnet;
2. remove rain tray cover;
3. look at the area directly above where your pedals are;
3. observe the "rubber mat" (usually painted in body colour) or any rubber grommets;
4. replace any/all grommets and reseal the "rubber mat" with Everbond, or similar

Re: Water drips on accelerator pedal
Badly installed window rubber, Or
most likely as per Dale , drain holes ether side of fender ,inside rain tray blocked with leaves and debris.
Vavuum or poke gentley with a rod to clear.
Do everytime you wash car, then no wet suprise with next rainstorm
