Hi All
I bought a door lock from a scrapyard to replace my rear door lock which acts up on occasion. Resetting the battery helps for a while but the problem comes back.
I would use youtube but they only have tutorials for front locks.
I have taken off the door panel and have replaced the lock, the only problem is now re-assembling it. I can't believe the design is this bad.
My problem is this:
Do I put the plastic shield on the lock first before sticking it back in and re-attaching the actuator and sensor?
Or do I re-insert the lock and attach the sensor and actuator and then the plastic shield once they are attached?
I've tried doing both ways but short of unscrewing the one window bar to do this (not keen on that) I can't see how it can be done. Getting it off was already a huge hassle.
Any advice would be appreciated.
