Revs increasing when changing gears - 2008 citi rox 1.4i

Post by Gabrieltiro »

Hi guys

Hope you can shed a light on my problems:
1. Every time i change gears the revs will increase to 2000 rpm and when changing down (coming to a stop or robot). The car idles correctly when not moving.

2. When driving the the will accelerate itself, like i will put it on gear 2, take my foot off the pedal then it accelerates until its reaches 2500 rmp.

3. Every time i start the car the revs will shot up to 2500 rmp then drop slowly to 1000 rmp. This happens in the mornings and during the day.

4. When driving the car wants to cut off, like its jerking off/stuttering/sputtering. This was happening all the time until i changed the distributor cap. Its happening but its better now

What i did:

Put on a vag machine and errors came out - oxygen senser and temp sender. I then replaced both sensers but still no success.
I've cleaned the the map sensor and TB many times already, and tried the TB adaption thing but still :bang: :bang:

So now i dont know what also to do. Any thoughts will be appreciated, tnx

If it's mpi alrady and it sounds like it from the oxygen sensor fault then that is their sign that th management is bust. I have replaced about 5 of those last year with the same issue. You will change senors until you are blue in the face with no cure.
So either stick it on mp9 (you have to change some wires) or aftermarket.
