Hi Guys
Has anyone been successful in getting this right? Speciffically on the Scirocco's or Mk6's, with the gen3 door controllers. I know it is possible on cars with the gen4 controllers with vcds but not the the gen3's?

Re: Mirror auto fold with remote key
When I was looking into it some time ago, it seemed the only way to get it working, at least on the mk6 (don't think we got any local mirror folding mk6s), was to get some aftermarket controllers off eBay. It may have changed since then however.

Re: Mirror auto fold with remote key
From my research you can do it either with binary coding or getting one from the passat/seat or golfs

Re: Mirror auto fold with remote key
I think the binary coding might be a better option? I have seen on some UK forums that vag can pro can be used. Are there alternatives that we can get more easily in SA? VCDS does not have the capability.Chuck_Norris wrote:From my research you can do it either with binary coding or getting one from the passat/seat or golfs

because then you can do it yourself for free instead of paying him to do it for you.

Re: Mirror auto fold with remote key
I've got this working on my Tiguan.

Here are the long awaited instructions for coding your folding mirrors off the fob:-
Goto module 42, unlock by going to security tab (VCDS will tell you the code).
Goto adaptation
find
(2)-System_Parameter_14-System Parameter Byte1, change E0 to E5 - open with ignition
or
(2)-System_Parameter_14-System Parameter Byte1,change E0 to E9 - open with door
Save
I am assuming you know how to use VCDS.
Make sure convenience is set in the MFD (see discussion in thread with the guys who didn't get it to work first time)
I politely request that if you want to cut and paste these instructions to use on other forums that you acknowledge both welshkaiboy and n4s as the original authors/copywriters of this coding.
