VW Golf 928

Post by Mk1Crazee »

Hey guys

I had no idea that a V8 powered 240HP Golf was created.

It's called the Golf 928 and it closely resembles the Mk1 design.

Take a look:

Body and chassis was sliced down the middle and made 228mm wider to accomodate the 928 bits. Nose was also made longer and custom fenders and bonnet was made.
Custom made windsreen and hatch screen was also made.

They never used any of the MkI Golf chassis, they essentially fit a widened MkI Golf body to a 928 chassis and running gear, only the doors and side panels are original MkI Golf with the rest being completely custom.
