Inner CV joint bolts

Post by King8v »

Hi all,

So theres been a kak sound coming from the front wheels for a few days and this morning I had some time to look. To my horror, i found that 2 of the 6 bolts holding the inner CV on driver's side has sheared off  Not sure how this happens!? But the screew part is still inside CV body. Furthermore, i found that the remaining 4 were loose!! Now how the flying **** does this happen i'd love to know, but more importantly, where does one find these in order to replace. I managed to tighten remaining 4 bolts as best i could.

TIA

Goldwagen or any bolt & nut place will sell these. Ask for Tensile bolts.
also use Loctite.
From past experience, this happened whenever I reused the bolts.

if you undo the rest and pull the cv away the broken bits should simply unscrew by hand or pliers
