oil catch cans

Post by El Toro »

Good morning guys. Been looking to buy an oil catch can and seeing that the price of these things are expensive, have any of you guys out there successfully made your own oil catch can. And if so what did you make it from. Also can it be made from glass so you can actually see what's collecting in there and know when to empty or clean. Let me know your thoughts on this please.

Honestly I would just buy the one from Delarey racing developments

It’s something so beautiful you don’t mind in being in your engine bay

I made a temp catch can with a clear round plastic container I got when I bought bolts,it had a plastic lid. Bought 2x L shaped plumbing connectors and 9mm fuel line(i think)

A other good option is also that plastic mayo jars, that plastic is a bit harder. I didn't like the idea of a glass jar in the engine bay. Buying 1 is expensive but its the best option I think. I saw a couple of very good ideas on google, but will take some time to make a decent can
