Spare shops are always up to no good bud. They have different prices and stories for different people. Lol

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on :driving:

Let us know how is goes. Also want to regas the original has the previous set I bought from GW was causing the boot to spring/lift up too quickly unlike the original which has a gradual lift.

Will do - on the too quickly subject. While I was doing my Googling I found some poor oke that had a "too quickly" incident with his canopy's struts - it shattered the canopy window and dropped the metal lock on his head !

Let's see if it works with mine - if so (and you are willing to do it this way around), you can ship me yours, I get them done and then ship them back to you ?

MOTHERF....... Almost lost a tooth now !!! At least now, if I get bored I can always use the boot lid to see how high I can launch stuff ......

In other words: it works brilliantly - took them about 20 minutes or so. R100/both sides.

From another forum, someone suggested Mcnaughtans, the truck people. Checked there product list and measured up the Mk3's boot shock. Apparently R90ea, brother is gonna collect later.

3rd .pdf from the product catalog ..... shock stays.

Buddy of mine needs a set for his Golf 5 so I did some phoning this afternoon (I owe him).

VW: R1899 for a set
GW Randburg: R290 each.

Will go with GW but will call GW in Wynburg tomorrow morning as they're closer to me.
