My polo's suspension is due...
I want to do a ~40mm drop while I'm at it, as it will suit future wheel better. But for the life of me can't find any coilovers for my year model...
I have a 2007 Polo 6.1 comfortline. As far as I am aware it is 9N3? The kits I find online range from 03-05 then again from 10-upwards.
Do I have the same suspension setup as a polo vivo? Seems to be some inconsistencies on the topic.
Upgrading suspension on 9n3. Can't find a kit...

'07 will be 9n3, 03 - mid '05 is 9n but uses the same setup. As far as I remember the Vivo is different to 9n/9n3.

Re: Upgrading suspension on 9n3. Can't find a kit...
Will stock shocks work with 40mm lowering springs? Will I be able to use the 02 - 05 polo lowering springs?
Seems like replacing the shocks and 40mm lowering spring are quite cheaper than getting coil overs...

Yes you can use stock shocks with a 40mm spring setup.herco wrote:Will stock shocks work with 40mm lowering springs? Will I be able to use the 02 - 05 polo lowering springs?

Never do cheap coilovers. Rather pay a little more and get decent shocks and springs.

Hmmm, I thought as much. Good news though, as I can replace the shocks now and get the springs at a later stage.Tander wrote: Yes you can use stock shocks with a 40mm spring setup.

I used stock shocks with the VW supplied Eibach lowering kit when I first got my 9n Polo but I think they were 25mm - 30mm.herco wrote:Will stock shocks work with 40mm lowering springs? Will I be able to use the 02 - 05 polo lowering springs?

Re: Upgrading suspension on 9n3. Can't find a kit...
They did an Eibach spring kit but that was ten years ago. I went from completely stock, to Eibach springs and stock shocks, to modified Koni sport shocks with Koni/H&R springs to a full Koni Coilover setup before I sold her.herco wrote:VW supplies a kit?
