Thanks Bud, I was looking at these however I have a double din radio which I want to fit and the "side trimmings" will close the gaps perfectly.

3d printing is kind of weak bud. Maybe theres different qualities of material u can use, im not sure..

I have bought a 3d printed boost gauge pod for my polo, it looks cool when its new. A few weeks later it started to warp (heat takes a toll even though i dont park the car in the sun) and it now looks terrible (well in my eye)..

Aha you should of mentioned it. Well give the local sound shops a call to hear if they have any for a new spec citi golf .

Otherwise, use a Dremel and cut the one in the link I sent...

Sounds like it might just be easier to buy the trimmings or like @Amstel mentioned just buy the single din and Dremel it. Will see what I come up with, If I manage to get the measurements I will give the 3d printing a try I know there are different types of plastic that can be used and seems ABS plastic should do the job.

What plastic quality does it have in there actually?

Not sure what you mean bud? are you referring to the quality of the plastic used in the 3D printer?
