Good evening guys. Hope all is well.

I am posting this on behalf of a friend who's experiencing some problems on his Citi.

Yesterday he tried opening his car in the morning using the central locking but the car didn't open even though the the red light on the key turns on. He then opened it manually and it started with no issues. On the way to campus, he noticed that his indicator lights are also not working.

What could be the problem? Please assist guys

Thank you

To add:

He also says that when he indicats, the clicking sound is made at faster intervals than normal and that the red light that lights up on the cluster after locking the car no longer lights up

The indicator issue is simply a blown globe and will go,away when he changes it.
Why the central locking don't work I cannot comment. Let him at least check all the fuses.

ive seen something similar , a few months back they tried to steel the Mrs's corolla and what they did was clip some wires under the car and short one of the indicators , taking its a student its very possible as parking isn't always secure, just a heads up , but i could be completely wrong

An update:

He found that the fuses are blown and when he replaces them they blow again. He aldo mentioned that when he switches the indicators on therers a sound coming from the speakers.
