Let's start at the beginning....
Why do you think your radiator is broken?
Is it leaking?

It is about half a banana job in the 1-10 banana difficulty scale.
You need a 10 spanner and a screwdriver and if you can't manage that then don't take on anything more.
Should not take more than about 10-20 mins

It really is one of the easiest things to do in a citi/golf1.

Re: changing a radiator on a citi golf
Correct , it is a simple take out and put in procedure.
What I normally do is to take pics before I start and during the removal process, just in case. Just reverse for installation.
Make sure the car has cooled off before doing this and also move the heater stalk to max. Remove the bottom radiator hose and the blue filler cap on the coolant reservoir so that the water can drain. After installation and attaching the hoses, premix your water and anti freeze, I do 50/50, and start filling the reservoir, but keep levels below max, you will need between 3 and 4 liters if I recall correctly. You can squeeze the top coolant hose to get rid of some of the bubbles. Then, leave the blue cap off the reservoir and start the car and let it idle whilst filling the reservoir, if required, it should get rid of the most of the air in the system. Once the coolant level reaches max and stays there, replace the blue cap. This should take no longer than 2 or 3 minutes. Replace the blue cap and go for a short drive to ensure the engine heats up and the thermostat opens. The heater should still be on to ensure the water channels through here too. Then let the car cool off and top up the reservoir if necessary. Monitor for a few days and top up if required.

Re: changing a radiator on a citi golf
Hey Guys, i just got myself a 1991 citi golf with the 1300 GY engine, i need a new radiator and from what i gather from this discussion it seems fairly simple but funny enough i am having a difficult time finding a new radiator. Where would you guys recommend purchasing one, also looking to get new hoses because of the age, are there maybe part codes? If so where can i find them? Thank you in advance

GoldWagen should be able to supply you with everything you need.
Remember to do a coolant flush and replacement at the same time.
