Introduce yourself and then we can assist.
Where are you based?

What’s your issues you have?

Which Dicktator system? Std or 60-2?

Hi guys. I really don't mean to jump in here like this but I have no idea how to start a new thread. I have a mk1 vw caddy 1.8 8v that I have converted to fuel injection using a dictator. And I have had her starting up but the revs just climb. Only wire I couldn't figure out if it's right or not is pin 1 on the throttle body. Currently have the red yellow that runs with injectors in there. Could that be the cause?

Red yellow wire is switched 12v from ecu. Idle control should be a blue wire from pin 18 ( negative switching).

Explain which wires are connected where to be able to assist.

Pin 1 - red yellow running with injectors
Pin 2 - blue (idle control negative)

Hi guys I'm krio
I have a 2.0l 8v. With Toyota 20v throttles.
Been doing all wiring myself. I'm stuck with the idle control... Pin 18. What do I do with that pin?

Hi Krio,
Start your own post for more exposure and responses.

To answer your question:
For ITB's you don't use pin 18 for idle control as you cannot connect an idle control valve (ISV) to the intake. All you do is sync the ITB's up on manifold while manifold is not on motor to ensure all are fully closed. Once that is confirmed use the adjustment screw on the casing and adjust so that all 4 ITB's are open the same gap amount.

Confirm the following:
1. rpm reading on ecu data page. Should be above 250rpm.
2. Settings selected for ignition trigger, timing map and fuel map pictures. Post a picture of your trigger selection and timing and fuel map pages.
3. What is the trigger angle and dwell time set at on the mainpage? Picture of that page.
