Engine Change Licensing

Post by Wheelwore »

Morning all

Couple of questions that need some clarification with regard to engine change and sale

Private Purchase

When buying an engine privately what documents do I require from the seller with the engine in question
After I have obtained documents from seller and engine what forms do I need to fill in at traffic department
When Engine is in vehicle what is next step to ensure all is legal

Import Engine

My Engine in my Velociti was change to an Import motor purchased at Boston
What steps and docs do i need to ensure the imported motor is licensed etc

Please provide clarity to the above
Thanks

Just a invoice bud even a written out invoice

Have to take the car for data dot 1st

Then for police clearance

Then for new papers and disc with new engine number
Bagged mk4 2dr

Didn't Boston give you an invoice stating the engine number? You can use that when doing the change...

It's the little things that make them run right. Anybody can slap a basic bottom end together. that is the easy bit. It's all the little things that makes these builds a success or not.
