Any of the OEM suppliers, Ferodo, Textar and so on..... Dunno about Surebrake. Also try dealers for pricing (you can fit)

I'd rather go Safeline, than surebrake. Never heard of surebrake.

I would try get ATE as well. Although I fitted a set on the Wife's car and its squealing as well.

Safelines are crap and noisy.

Surebrake pads are great, Speak to Wikus at Goldwagen Delarey he recommends them and has no returns from premature failures, squeeking, etc.

I've used them on a few different cars already.

I have found the surebrake have an inherent squeek. Especially if there is any ridge on the disks.

The quietest pads ive fitted to clients cars, even with ridges in disks. is the Febi pads from gw. Just they are more expensive than all the others.

I am currently using ATE dics and pads from Midas on my MKIV.

I used copper compound on the back of the pads.

No squeal and no issues with braking , wet or dry.

If you find any pad squeaky it's more than likely a lube issue on the slides and or ears. Little bit of Plastilube fixes that fast

Hi Guys
Please assist on the following. My brake light came on my Golf 7 GTI performance pack.
I am going to install Surebrake Pads and disc on the fronts.
Once the pads are changed will the light go off. I will be installing the brakes on my own.
Are the Surebrake pads and disc any good.

the pads will go off when you fit a new sensor... if you are doing it yourself, buy the sensor as well..

the sensor should fit onto one of the pads... when the pads wear down too much, they wear the sensor as well then you get the light...

Sure Brake are street pads, if you use them the way they intended, you shouldn't have problems. Bed the brakes in properly to avoid other issues.

Hi
I just purchased the Pads and 1 side has a lug which I suppose is the sensor. My car has 47k on the clock when I felt the front disc the feel smooth, but the outer and inner edges have ridges. I have purchased disc also. I am not sure if I should change them as well.
How should I bed them in? Should a drive the car gentle and brake gentle. No hard breaking Please advise.

The "lug" you referring to, is the sensor built into the pad , case of plug out old and plug in new,
Note - No force needed to unplug connector , Once the release clip is pressed , they easily separate

Generally speaking once there's a ridge on the disc, replacement is suggested however every disc has a minimum wear thickness in mm - usually +-5mm - some disc even have an indicator - Your call but since you have the disc might as well replace it.

Bedding the brakes - point is to marry the disc and pads, , No very hard braking , No heating up disc or pad excessively , No driving through water with hot disc's, part is to remove the manufacturing coat on the disc.
Cant put a mileage to it but take it slow initially , thereafter a couple of harder braking and high speed braking and you should be good.
Once the initial braking smell lessens, then your brakes has bed in.

Goodluck!
